SAVANNAH- Historic Downtown

Historic Downtown
Savannah, Georgia

What a beautiful fall day it was in Savannah!

We spent our time in Savannah touring the historic district and admiring all the beautiful trolleys for tours and ghost tours! They do have public trolleys that are free if you'd rather take that! We chose to walk everywhere because it was such a beautiful Fall October Day!

Cubby loved all the fountains that center the squares!

The beautiful trees and oak lined roads are absolutely stunning, as well as the old churches!

We loved all the squares and neighborhoods, particularly the famous Jones Street!

Mike found a home he wanted to buy about a block away. The pineapples were adorable!

City Market

There are bars and delicious places to eat!
Try Vinnie Van Go Go's!
You'll be paying in wait time for sure, but the pizza is worth it!

Afterwards, why not try a sample of delicious candy?
If samples are not good enough for you, you can buy cases and cases of delicious candies from chocolate covered apples to chocolate covered pretzels!
and if your sweet tooth takes you in to a more hard candy form- try this wall of candy!

What a fun night, even with the kiddos!
Savannah's City Market is kid friendly, even after dinner hours!
There are groups of people from all walks of life- from families, tourists, couples and even those who want to enjoy the nightlife!

CHARLESTON- Battery Row

Battery Row
Charleston, South Carolina

It's a little street on the water... with million dollar mansions

and cute little crabs in the sand!

We are talking about Battery Row in Downtown Charleston

A Southern Charm, for sure!

The houses are gorgeous... and colorful on Rainbow Row!

There are old southern style cobblestorne roads

The homes are perfectly manicured

Businesses are breathtaking!

With the water- right there- it's a great place to go for a morning run or walk your dog

But unless you are a member of the exclusive yacht clubs or live in one of the mansions, you definitely feel like a tourist (which we were!)

It was nice to see so many locals running and taking their dogs to a local park- which pretty much became a dog park!

PRIMITIVE- 5 Reasons Camping Isn't so Bad

No Glamping Needed Here!

This was our view camping this weekend at Beaver Lake Arkansas.

Here are five reasons camping isn't so bad

This is your view!

Our battery operated air mattress was fairly comfortable! Just remember the batteries!
Our sleeping bag was cozy and our tent was spacious

We played cards and had fun conversations with friends! Mainly though, we ate a LOT. Don't forget the delicious foods to grill on the campfire and plenty of ice, water, wine, and beer in the cooler!

A long island iced tea kit came complete with variety of beautiful straws and koozies

Our friends' dog was on watch throughout the night!
With him, our pepper spray, and a little something else, we felt pretty safe!

LAGUNA- 6 Reasons to Have a Laguna Beach Wedding

Laguna Beach is Glorius. A wedding at Laguna Beach is even more Glorius! Here's six reasons why!

1.. You can do this with your bridesmaids!

2. This is your view... IN WINTER! My friend Cindy had a December wedding and it was still gorgeous

3. This was where we ate breakfast every morning at the Surf and Sands Resort

4. You can walk to a million places every night For dinner

5. This is where I had coffee every morning. Right outside our beach front hotel

6. Your bridesmaids will thank you for a lovely vacation

Imagine your little flower girl and ring boy meeting here for the first time, to only plan their future wedding here later ;)

Thanks, Cindy! You were a classy selfless bride who made sure we all had a relaxing joyful time! You and Charlton will be forever happy :)

Love, Yuna

Trip to Louisville for Mike's Work

Mike's work usually takes him to places too far for me to visit! But not this case!

I got to follow him to an event in Louisville Kentucky, just a short drive from Dayton!

I got to see Mike's boss and coworkers, but also ran into Virginia's former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli! It was so nice to see a familiar face in the Midwest!

Watching Mike Work

It's not often Mike and I are in DC together! But we made a point to meet for at least one night in DC! He was already there for work & getting ready to fly out to Dallas the next day! I flew in the day before he left and got the pleasure to watch him at work!

It was a little strange being on the media platform and being a "spectator" rather than working! I almost felt privileged and "cool" to be with the press LOL which is definitely not how I feel under deadlines at work! :)

It's so nice seeing Mike doing what we both love to do! He just has a very different role :)

Casa Del Mar Santa Monica

I was very fortunate to have Mike fly down from Dallas to LA on Christie's wedding day!

We stayed an extra night at Casa Del Mar to try to relax and enjoy California

I've realized I'm truly an East Coast Southern Girl, while at my stay at Casa Del Mar :) but I did throughly enjoy my stay!

I love the little touches like the rubber sickie and the mini teddy bear for turn down service.... I just prefer Southern resorts like Breakers or Greenbrier over California bling bling! I suppose I'm a little old school and "stuffy" :)

Terranea in Palace Verdes

Terranea Resort in Palace Verdes California

The bridesmaid headed to Terranea for a bachelorette for Christie's wedding!

The resort had beautiful landscaping and decent food. It was a little too chilly to enjoy anything else!

Tea Time in Beverly Hills

I was so happy to spend time with Cindy in Los Angeles!!!!!

We kicked my stay off with lunch al fresco in Santa Monica! Then headed to The Peninsula in Beverly Hills for Champaign Tea Time!

The classy evening ended with Breakinf News & an arrest lol!!!! Since we are both newsies, we followed about five LAPD cruisers to see what the fuss was all about!

We then ended up at the beautiful LACMA and chatted all night! My "bed" by the Los Angeles fireplace was fantastic!

SANTA MONICA- Wedding @ Casa Del Mar

What a beautiful weekend in Santa Monica!!!!

Christie got married and I had a chance to celebrate with the lovely bride!!!!!

What a classy white & grey wedding at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica just outside Los Angeles!!!

Food was spectacular as well as all the details!

Congrats to Dr Dale & Dr Christie!

NYC- The Plaza Hotel, Home Alone 2 Style

Christmas at The Plaza Hotel, NYC

My Christmas Childhoods were always full of Family & Midnight Mass! Secretly inside, I wished for one Christmas where I could be "Home Alone 2" stuck alone in NYC renting a suite at The Plaza Hotel!

Obviously, that never happened, but until this year- I've always wondered what Christmas at The Plaza Hotel would be like!

Then I realize, Christmas is not much different at The Plaza than it is anywhere else! Regardless, it was still nice for Mike to take me to a Christmas Date here :)

I will always be grateful for the Christmas years with family, rather than lost in NYC with two burglars wanting to destroy me

NYC- Christmas Party; Meat Packing District

Mike works for a truly amazing company! They flew everyone (who are not permanently in NYC) to the Big Apple for their annual Christmas Spectacular!

This year, they rented a soundstage in the Meat Packing District! What an endless list of specialty drinks & enormous supply of unique & delicious appetizers!

We all stayed at the Martime Boutique Hotel in Chelsea!

I'm most proud of these shoes! I wore them the entire night!
