Being the #1 CBS affiliate in the country, our stories often go viral :) here are two of my stories that made national headlines recently...

Reporters Training aka RETREAT!

I love our yearly trips to Aileron!!! We started out with a breakfast, training sessions, then lunch & then "free for all" session!

It is a beautiful facility for business retreats & I just love what I call "relaxing training" and "venting to the boss" sessions!

Best part- it's a fun time with coworkers :)

TV Girls Night IN !

It's so nice to have girlfriends who are intelligent, passionate, smart & super fun! We learned a few things on our Girls Night In- Journalists don't have time to cook!!!!

We made our best attempts at being domesticated!!!!!

Cheers to trying local & different wines, lots of homemade or "Dorothy lane" dishes! Learning new vocab words when you don't have a bread knife to cut loaves properly & why the "countdown" begins when you try to bake! Plus, we learned Alexa had a dangerously interesting way to open up a bottle!

Besties Weekend at The Greenbrier

The Greenbrier Resort & Spa is one of my favorite places to relax and soak in luxury!

My best friend, Melissa, is 18 weeks pregnant!!!! We had a little Greenbrier Celebration & Relax-cation!

Despite being pregnant & sick with bronchitis.... & me feeling under the weather, we made the most of a short vacation :)

My throat hurt my the end from so much talking & laughing! Typical!

She is the cutest, happiest & most adorable pregnant woman!!!! She's still in PA school, traveling & living life to the fullest while pregnant! That's something to look up to!!! In addition to having a pure genuine heart, smarts, loyalty & ambition!

Not just a Normal Shopcation

It was suppose to be just a normal shopping trip to Cincinnati, but ended up being a blog worthy story!

Natalie & I wanted to spend a quiet Saturday shopping for work clothes and ended up getting caught in a storm!

Being journalist nerds that we are, we captured a bunch of lightning video to send back to our stations!

Then, we get to a DARK mall! The entire Kenwood Towne Center lost power and operated the foo court & anchor stores on generators! Most of the smaller stores shut down!!!

Natalie & I managed to shop IN THE DARKNESS & Try on clothes in the dark! Thank good for a 3-way mirror that was lot & one working cash register at Chanel- we were able to shop & buy!

To tell you honestly, it was AWESOME! It felt like a sleepover at the mall! We both did REALLY well with our purchases! More shift dresses for me :)

Then! We caught the Riverbend Fireworks Festival from Maggianos where we ate too much and the restaurant begged Natalie to take another meal home for free- which apparently was a special that night- so as a "random act of kindness"- someone got a free meal lol

On our way back- we got caught in another news story! A bad accident that shut down two lanes on the interstate!

At the end of the day, my stomach hurt from laughing so much & I'm very happy with my new dresses for work! ;)
